Greensprings launches Robotics and AI as part of its curriculum

As a result of a partnership between our school and Edu360, robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) will now be integrated into our curriculum. This integration was announced during our school’s admission into the second phase of the Next Robotics Legend Program, making us one of the first few schools offering robotics and AI at the secondary school level in Nigeria.

Speaking on May 7 during the official launch of the program, our Deputy Director of Education, Dr Barney Wilson, said, “We are thrilled to have been chosen as one of the four schools that will participate in the second phase of the Next Robotics Legend Program. This program will complement the Airbus Foundation Little Engineer program that our students had a couple of years ago.”

“According to the plan, this training will run for six (6) weeks, and both our teachers and students will be trained. The organizers are also providing all the robotics toolkits, including mekamons needed for the training. At the end of the program, robotics and AI will be fully integrated into our school curriculum, thereby making Greensprings School one of the first few schools offering robotics and AI at the secondary school level in Nigeria. This is a very good opportunity for our students, and they are extremely happy to be part of the exciting project,” he concluded.

The Next Robotics Legend Program is an initiative of Edu360 by Union Bank. The initiative aims to integrate robotics and AI into the education of Nigerian children, and better prepare them for the workplace of the future. The program is facilitated by Awarri – the pan-African Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) company, founded by the renowned Robotics Engineer, Silas Adekunle.
