It was an emotional atmosphere but a grand style celebration as our 2019 graduating International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) students said goodbye to Greensprings School, on the 7th of June. The graduation ceremony was held in the hall of our Lekki campus, and in attendance were parents, teachers, head of schools, and other well-wishers.
One of the major highlights of the event was the announcement of scholarships worth $1.3million, collectively won by the graduating set of 2019. Gifts and trophies were also awarded to the best performing student for each subject.
Speaking in an address to the students, Hon. Justice Adewale Abiru, the special guest of honour, emphasized on the values of good leadership traits and integrity. He urged the students to use their fear of the unknown to achieve success by seeking the right counsel and choosing the right friends.
Also speaking in an interview with the press, Mrs Lai Koiki, our Executive Director, reaffirmed that the IB Diploma is a programme that prepares children not just academically but socially and mentally. She added that having been groomed to attain all these qualities, the students would certainly do excellently in their next endeavours.
