Our Students Captivate MUSON Centre with Intriguing Vocal Solo & Piano Duet

In a dazzling display of musical prowess, Elisabeth Anjolaoluwa Oke, Ijogun Isabella Olamide, and Ijogun Michaela Abiola have made us proud in the 2024 edition of the MUSON Schools Competition. The prestigious event, organized by the Music Society of Nigeria (MUSON) School of Music, was held at the MUSON Centre in Onikan, Lagos, on May 23, 2024.

Elisabeth, from our Lekki campus, performed “Wiegenlied” (Cradle Song) in the Vocal Solo (Intermediate Category) and earned the top spot due to her expressive singing style — coupled with her perfect pitch and tune. The Ijogun sisters, from our Ikoyi campus, performed “Reverie” in the Piano Duet Competition (Junior Category) and were crowned winners for their harmonious presentation and exceptional teamwork.

The students’ performance captivated the judges and audience alike, and in recognition of their outstanding performances, the students were awarded certificates and cash prizes. These accolades not only celebrate the talents of the students but also highlight the dedication and hard work the students have put into honing their musical skills.
