Greensprings Football Camp Crowns its Winners, Celebrates Impactful Sponsorships

Greensprings School has once again raised the bar in nurturing young talent, crowning the winners of its 11th edition of the Greensprings Football Academy Camp. Held from April 13 to April 17, 2025, at the Lekki campus, the camp drew young football enthusiasts aged 5 to 17 for a week of top-tier training and mentorship.

The camp’s five-day program featured expert coaching from international trainers affiliated with the West Bromwich Albion Football Club, the Dutch Football Association, and the English Football League (EFL), alongside esteemed coaches from the Lagos State Football Association and Nigerian football icon, Victor Ikpeba, also known as “The Prince of Monaco.”

The closing ceremony, held on April 17, 2025, was graced by prominent figures from the football community, including Lagos State FA Chairman Liameed Gafar, and West Bromwich Albion coaches Samuel Jake Whitmore, Jordan Hall, and Owen Jones.

This year, Union Bank of Nigeria and Fiber One played crucial roles as active sponsors, ensuring that the young talents received an unforgettable experience.

This year’s top students, Alabi Aliami and Ayodeji Boluwatife, earned additional virtual training sessions with the international coaches, further equipping them for success.

The Greensprings Football Academy has a rich history of producing professional players, with several alumni now part of Nigeria’s Under-17 National Team.
