Duke of Edinburgh 2019: Students Develop Tolerance

This year’s practice expedition for the Duke of Edinburgh program held from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th March, 2019 at Greensprings School Lekki Campus.

The students also visited the beach to accomplish other activities to build their self-confidence and tolerance.

Greensprings School has been running the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award for several years. To be eligible for the programme, students have to be at least 13 years, 9 months old.

This award is recognized worldwide as a standard of achievement for young people and is favourably looked upon by schools, colleges, universities and employers.

The objective of the Duke of Edinburgh Award is to empower young people to develop emotional, intellectual, spiritual and social attitudes while providing them with opportunities to learn about their environment as well as develop self-confidence, tolerance and teamwork.

It is also a platform for them to learn and exhibit leadership traits.
