As Head Girl, when I think “Fresh starts and Focused minds”, I see the responsibility we all share to come to school prepared and ready to learn. A fresh start means arriving neat and presentable, but also showing kindness to friends, respect to teachers, and everyone around us. A focused mind means paying attention in class, avoiding distractions, and putting in your best effort to achieve your goals.
This term, I set clear goals for myself, which is helping me stay motivated, especially as the January exams approached. I start and end each day with revisions, manage my time wisely, and encourage others to do the same.
One new thing I did as a fresh start, to keep my mind more focused, is creating a new study timetable. It improved my confidence and self-discipline. It kept me focused on the fact that success begins with preparation.
Together, let’s embrace a growth mindset in all we do. Let’s view our learning, goals, environment, and the people around us with open minds so that we can see fresh opportunities and use them right.
Let’s just say it’s not too late for a fresh start. Keep your mind focused; we can still make this school year our best yet.
