Greensprings Community recorded a remarkable achievement at the prestigious Earth Prize Awards, a global competition recognizing outstanding contributions to environmental sustainability.
Amara Nwuneli, one of our IB2 students, has been selected as the winner for the African region, emerging from over 10,000 student applicants worldwide. She was awarded $12,500 in recognition of her impactful work through her youth-led NGO, Preserve Our Roots, which focuses on promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices among young people. Amara’s visionary leadership and unwavering dedication to green initiatives have inspired her peers and garnered well-deserved global acclaim.
Adding to this momentous celebration, Mr. Ogunlade has been honored with the $2,500 Educator of the Year Award for his exceptional mentorship and commitment to nurturing the next generation of environmental leaders. Amara nominated Mr. Ogunlade for this award, citing his invaluable support and guidance throughout her journey.
