The Leadership Development Trip to Cape Town, South Africa, took our students beyond the classroom and into an experience designed to challenge how they think, lead and work together.
Across eight days, students participated in leadership and servant-leadership sessions, team challenges, adventure activities, environmental education, history and hands-on STEM learning.
At Acrobranch Constantia, the high ropes and zip-line adventure pushed students beyond their comfort zones, while activities such as Cool Runnings and ice skating challenged them to practise perseverance, adaptability and teamwork.
A visit to Robben Island provided a powerful opportunity to reflect on courage, sacrifice, justice and servant leadership. At the World of Birds and Two Oceans Aquarium, students explored the importance of conservation and environmental responsibility, before rounding off the trip at the Cape Town Science Centre with hands-on experiences in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
