GREENSPRINGS SCHOOL PASTORAL CENTRE

Greensprings School Pastoral Centre is at the forefront of providing the best boarding experience a student would ever have. It is home-away-home!! We have chosen the name Pastoral Centre for our boarding school because we believe that it is a place where we nurture and guide our students’ from diverse family and cultural backgrounds morally, academically and socially in order for them to fit into any civilised and also be of immense help to the needy communities in the world.

Presently there are over 300 students’ in 18 apartments comprising of 14 flats and 4 dormitories in 4 blocks of magnificent buildings. The boys’ hostels are separated from the girls’. In each of the flats is a live-in houseparent while the dormitories have 2 houseparents. The house parents are seasoned teachers in different subject areas.

Our goals amongst others in the Pastoral Centre are:

To help our children budget their time, set goals for themselves and be disciplined in every aspect of life, exhibiting values such as integrity, honesty, respect for people, things and the environment. To maintain good and cordial relationships with themselves and other members of the community, rediscovering academic success, and prepare for the challenges of adolescence and young adulthood.

To gear them towards good academic performance combined with personal development to produce a well-rounded individual with the qualifications and skills sought by universities and employers alike.

To motivate them to study and live in inclusive academic communities where they will continue to learn about independence and responsibility.

To participate more in co-curricular activities like music, drama and sports that will enhance their mental and physical development; making them to be the best that they can be with the gifts that they have.

Our Pastoral Centre is indeed a place where students’ love to be!!!
