CITA ACCREDITATION
Introduction
In 2000, Greensprings School was accredited by the Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation. A School Development Plan was later drawn up and a further visit was made by CITA officials in 2003 to confirm that we were maintaining the standards necessary to maintain our accreditation. On 15, 16 and 17 May 2006, three CITA officials visited the school.
During the three day visit, the officials examined the various policy documents and manuals, visited classrooms and toured the facilities, held meeting with management, staff, students and parents and generally looked into every aspect of the school’s operation.
I would like to thank everyone who has helped in any way with the accreditation with special thanks to the teachers, students and parents who gave up their time to be interviewed. I would also like to pay tribute to the excellent work done by the teachers during the last year in compiling the Self-Study documentation that formed the core of the accreditation process. The visit was coordinated by Mrs. Paula Coker who compiled and organised all the necessary information as well as making the necessary day to day arrangements during the visit.
‘You should be very proud of your school. It is an outstanding school and would be considered as such any place in the world. The owner has done an outstanding job of being visionary and supportive in this development. John Todd is a school head of the highest calibre.’
